Is it possible to change employer when you are in the 7th year of H1B ?
Is it possible to have the new employer file PERM for you while you are with current employer?

Dear All,
I am sorry for posting this message on the Immigration group because it doesnt really relate to the immigration issues. I have been a part of this group for a long time, and hence I thought of sharing this with you all. Although we all are here in the US, we all have our families and friends back home in India. This petition (forwarded to me by my friend) is a petition for safety of our people in India. Please do not consider it as a junk post.

my wife and i went to renew our DLs.
i am on EAD and my wife is on AOS(pending 485) and we both have AP valid till feb 2010.
i got a temporary DL and will get 1 year DL in the mail.
my wife got temp DL but will get DL till feb 2010 only (expiration of AP-I94). they wanted to see I-140 or I-130 alongwith I-485.
i emailed flhsmv.gov and they also say that now you must show 140 and dependent names in 485 application which most of us dont have.

We didn't fill any form like that. Is it o.k.??
She (Attorney) is representing for Company,not representing for Client and Company, but She signed on I-140 and I-485.

USCIS has released figures from the first week of the H-1B season and filings for the 65,000 H-1B "regular" cap slots for the fiscal year that begins in October were just 13,500. That is less than one third of the 42,000+ received during the same period last year and only about one-tenth of the number filed two years ago. Only 5,600 masters cap applications were filed against the 20,000 cap in that category.

Well need some help. I moved from H1-B to F1 visa to do masters. Now I want to quit F1 in middle and go back to doing H1-B and continue masters part time.
I know there are still slots open for H1-B for 2010. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Now I can do summer internship untill August 26, the question is, how can I work for the employer for the month of September? since H1B starts on Oct 1st. I can do CPT full time but, then again I heard you can not quit CPT in middle of the semester.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
